David Mayer, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder
David’s primary responsibilities include product marketing and business development. Drawing upon his decade-long experience in marketing and selling to C-level executives, as well as previously running the day-to-day operations of The TRIZ Group, LLC, a Michigan-based consulting firm specializing in product concept and solution development, brings valuable business development and management skills to NANEVA. For the past eight years, David has been responsible for shaping The TRIZ Group’s marketing and sales agenda. Through his initiatives, The TRIZ Group garnered the business of such diverse clients as Avon, Borden Chemical, Dow, Phillip Morris, Sherwin-Williams, TRW Automotive, USG, and Whirlpool. David’s efforts led to a 24% average annual increase in the TRIZ Group’s sales since joining the company in 2003. Prior to The TRIZ Group, David was the marketing and sales director at PHLburg Technologies, a Philadelphia-based technology transfer firm specializing in technology transfer projects between the United States and Russia. In this capacity David reported directly to PHLburg’s CEO, coordinating business activities between the company’s Philadelphia and St. Petersburg, Russia offices. Through David’s personal and direct efforts PHLburg garnered the business of such clients as Dura Automotive, Federal-Mogul, General Motors, and Revlon, helping elevate the nascent company’s total sales to $1.2 million in the first 18 months. At PHLburg, in addition to his marketing and sales responsibilities, David was accountable for a variety of tasks, including operational assistance, HR policies, and PHLburg’s initiatives with the U.S. Department of Energy. David holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Kansas. He is a fluent Russian speaker.
